a. Pulley
Serves to place the V belt drive alternator move the swivel motion to rotate the engine alternator.
b. Fan (fan)
Serves to cool the alternator components ie diode or coil on the alternator.
c.Rotor
The function of the rotor to generate a magnetic field, the magnetic field strength generated depending on the electric current flowing to the rotor coil. Power to the rotor coil channeled through the brush that is always attached to the slip ring. There are two brushes, namely brushes positively associated with a terminal F, brush negatively related to the mass or terminal E. The higher the engine rotation, rotation higher the alternator rotor, so that the generated electricity remains stable then the resulting strong magnet decreases proportional to engine speed.
d.rotor alternator
When the rotor is assembled as shown above, then the electric current will flow from the positive battery, variable resistor, ampere meter, slip ring, rotor coil, slip ring and to the battery negative. The flow of electricity in the rotor causes the rotor to be a magnet, when prisoners in the variable resistor is smaller then the current flowing very large magnet on the rotor is very strong, but if the prisoner variable resistor is greater then the current flowing into the rotor coil becomes small so that the magnetization also becomes smaller. e. stator
Serves as a stator coil that generates electricity when cut off the magnetic field of rotor.Stator consists of stator cores (stator core) and stator coil. Stator coil design there are 2 kinds of models "delta" and the model "Y". In the model "Y", the third coil ends are spliced together. The connection point is called the point "N" (neutral point). At the end of the third delta winding models put together so as to form a triangle (delta). This model does not have a neutral terminal (N). Stator coil generates three-phase AC electric current. Each end of the stator diode is connected to the positive and negative diode.
f. Diodes (rectifier)
Diodes serves to rectify the AC current generated by the stator coil into DC current, as it also serves to hold to current from the battery is not flowing to the stator coil. The nature of the diode is forward electric current in one direction. Figure 4.12 a. a positive diode is coupled in series with the lights on a battery of 12 V. The series is a series of forward bias (forward direction voltage) so that the diode can be an electric current, the light is on. If the cable ties are exchanged cables associated with positive to negative and vice versa moved then got a reverse bias diode (reverse direction voltage) so that the diode can not be an electric current, then the lights went out.
h. Construction diode on elternator
In the alternator diode number consists of 6 or 9 pieces coupled diode. According to the installation of this diode can be divided into 2 parts menjadai diode positive and negative diode.
