The components of micro hydro power plant, which generally consists of:
1 Air
Hydro power plants is dependent on geographical conditions, the state of precipitation and flow storage area (catchmenr area). Construction of hydropower can be implemented in many regions invitation scale varying capacities. To develop hydropower resources reasonably, you need to know clearly all the potential energy.
2 Channels
This channel serves to drain the water from the intake to keep the water level elevation. There are various kinds of conductive channels used in micro among others; tunnels, open channel, the channel is closed, but when used long conductive channels it must be equipped with a spillway to any specific distance. If there is excess water flow in the channel, the water will be removed through the spillway. (IBEKA, 2003)
3 Dam
Dams for PLMTH development planning in the form of concrete dam. The dam serves as a reservoir of water flow which is equipped with a water gate as a controller and disposal. Other equipment, is a trapper or dirt filter, PLMTH this type is a type generator with a run of river where the intake structure built adjacent to the original river flow without damaging vegetation and ecosystems in the dalamnnya. (IBEKA, 2003).
.4 Swimming precipitator
The pool is usually built by deepening and widening the channel partially conductive and supplement it with a draining channel. Functions as the deposition of sand and filter dirt washed away, so that the water entered the turbine can be relatively clean. (IBEKA, 2003).
.5 Swimming Top
Conductive channel will culminate in a pool whose function pressing water will get into the turbine and then direct it to get into the pipe rapidly (penstok) according to the planned discharge. To save the rapidly pipe length, then the power hause should be placed close together on the upper pool.
.6 Pipes Pesat
Rapid penstock pipe serves to convert the potential energy of the water in the upper pool of water into kinetic energy in fast Pipat, then directs the kinetic energy of motion to rotate the turbine wheel Cross-Flow. Generally, rapid pipes made of rolled steel plate welded kemudain. Also equipped with steel pipe to connect the pipes to each other yan. (IBEKA, 2003)
.7 Water Turbine
Water turbine was developed in the 19th century and is widely used for electric power generation. A water turbine driving engine that converts potential energy into mechanical energy with water as the working fluid. Mechanical energy is converted to electric generator into electrical power. (Anjar Susatyo, et al, 2003)
